Layered hair question [read for details]?

Yesterday I got my hair really, REALLY layered and cut. It kind of retains a messy look because of that, and I like it. It's just past my shoulders. My hair was really really thick to start with, so it was always really wavy... and now that my hair is shorter, I'm sure it'll probably go insane. After my shower I blow dried my hair and put in some mousse and kind of ruffed up my hair a bit... but will I need to use a straightener? I don't want my hair to lose the layered/messy look but I also don't want my hair going super wavy/ curly. And I'm sort of scared that a straightener will just make it go flat.

Tips and answers would be great, thanks!

definitely not :]

what you should do is get your straightener and start at the roots, then straighten directly outwards and up! go relatively slow, or the hair wont straighten.

once you have done this on all your layers, lift them up layer by layer and spray with hair spray under the layers, to give them hold and support.

you may even want to tease a little bit after that, but that it your choice

hope i helped!

Dont straighten it because it will take the wildness out of it....if you want it to not be curly use a gel that specialises in curl untangles, cos that will make it less curly...Goodluck

a straightener will make it look straight and what you could do is turn the straightener at the bottom in and poof it up a bit , OR you could do whatever you like and if it doesnt turn out right then go to the salon and ask them to make it look the way it did when it was cut then ask how you can keep it that way .

hope i helped
