Layered hair gone way wrong?!?

I hate my hair alot! Okay, so i really wanted layered hair. And I kept wondering if i should take the risk or not...and i did. My hair was really long. Down to my hips long. And i had no layers. And my hair was think and wavy. Here are the images i took to the hairdresser for examples of layered hair that i want:

She looked at the hilary duff one and tried to do it similar...but here is how it turned out:

do you think it looks ugly or pretty? or in between? and if you think its ugly, how can i fix it?

First of all if you think she has done it wrong, you need to tell her, then she knows not to do it like this in the future. To sort your bangs out go back and ask her to make them even again. Personally though I think it looks really nice, but to get the right look you're after , I would say you need more layers higher up, some shorter ones. Also I think it may not be right for you as your hair is wavy, and in the photo, Hilary's is poker straight, so to achieve the look, you're hair would proabably be best straightened. But I wouldn't worry. It looks great how it is. It's not ugly at all :)

I think your hair looks pretty good.Layers are supposed to be wispy like yours.If you want something the the first celeb pic, they you gotta use gel or hairspray or some other styling products. I think in some of the pics its a blowout or wavy not layered hair but whatever.Yours is very pretty, trust me I have layers too.They look kind of like yours but shorter.

I hated my hair at first but it grows in on you. Trust me. It's been about a month now and i love my hair!

I think it's cute. It's more stylish than your old hair. Just curl it, or get a product for wavy hair and i'm sure you will like it.

okay i personally like it. You do not see many people with that kind of haircut anymore. But i love it, and to fix your bang problem just cut the other one, or simply bobbypin it back.
