I have long brown hair and a side fringe. I'm asking this because i dont want to have layers done and then hate them!! If youve had layers done in youre hair did you love them or hate them??

Well I think that there is only one way to really know how it will look on you, to actually cut it. Maybe you should ask the person that cuts it all the time for you if you have. They might give you advice and you might end up wanting the layers or a different style.

Wow...there's no way to know unless you dive in. Of course, your hair stylist should be able to tell you if it's a good idea for your hair texture, what type of style you're looking for, etc.

Of course, what would be so terrible if you hated it? After all, it IS just hair, and it DOES grow back!

Personally, it may be cute when you first get it done, but once you decide that you may want to wear it up, or change the style, having layered hair can definitely hinder that. I layered my hair, and I now know from experience, that it isn't very versitale when you change the style and have different lengths. I personnally would not do it. So i hated them!

I have layers right now and they really help to soften the look of your face. The only problem is, they are a little more difficult to put up in a ponytail, so if you like to put your hair up often, I'd suggest sticking with your hair now. If you like it down, layers look really nice.

Omg, well, i just got layers and side bangs a month ago, and I was so mad! The reason i was mad is becasue i shoulda goten them a long time ago! they made my hair look healthy and like it had bounce, and before it was all flat and bleh. I love love LOVe it! I didn't hate them. I think its a lot easier to take care of because some days when you don't have time to do or don't feel like doing anything with your hair, the layers make it cute anyway. You'll never really know if its right for you until you try. But I would recommend it.

i actually didn't like my layers as much as i had thought. i am by no means overweight at all, but having layers ususally makes a person's face look rounder, which CAN make you look a little heavier. i recommend starting off with only a couple layers first, and then if you like those, then go into the beauty salon again and add another layer or two. this way it isn't one huge change at once and you can see if you're really liking it. good luck :)
