In a layered hair cut, how many layers are there typically???

it depends on the length of your hair and how smooth do you want the gradation between the shortest and the longest layer to be. Usually it is about 3 or 4 to make the difference noticeable but still make it look balanced.

About 3, but you can ask specifically for however many you want. I usually only get 2. It also depends if you want long layers or shorter layers.

Hi i think around a bout 2 or 3 its up to u i get my hair layed but i only get 2 if u want more then 4 i think u have to go to a specialist!

to get layers hair is cut at an ANGLE. how many layers in a triangle? none! how many layers are on any ANGLE? NONE!

unless you have a disconnected cut ( like the old 'skater' cut with the bottom shaved close and the rest of the hair falls over it like a 'bob')

we hairstylists laugh at you girls who say things like," i want 2 or 3 layers put in, but i don't want layers". any idea how INCREDIBLE STUPID you would look if we hairstylists listened to you?

alright now i dont know who is cutting your hair or even some of these girls that answered 2 to 3 or whatever the girl above is right it is an angle and the way you want the layers to look and if you have 3 layers they would look like unblended steps in your hair and sure that would be attractive....so it all depends on the type of look you are looking for
