Not really. I think they should keep it shoulder length and get a thinning and/or trim to get rid of the split ends.

A layered hair cut on a male can have two different effects. Some would suggest that by having such a hair cut on a male he is most likely a homosexual or a metrosexual. I differ, I believe that it is a statement of pride to have your hair done in a way the best describes you. I have a crew cut, it is simple neat and strait to the point, exactly who I am. If I were fun, and exciting I might have gone with a mohawk, but I am not either of those things.
